Global Policy Solutions authors new Hispanics in Philanthropy Report
Washington, DC, March 17, 2011--Global Policy Solutions is pleased to announce a new section of our website that highlights products and publications produced for our partners. The newest report, “The Latino Age Wave: What Changing Ethnic Demographics Mean for the Future of Aging in the U.S.” examines the relevant trends and data related to aging among U.S. Latinos and the assets and needs of community-based organizations serving or having the potential to serve Latino older adults. Produced for Hispanics in Philanthropy, the report urges U.S. leaders to address gaps in policies and services that can support successful aging for Latino older adults.
There are approximately three million Latinos age 65 and older living in the U.S. today but this number is expected to increase dramatically over the next few decades,” said Dr. Maya Rockeymoore, President and CEO of Global Policy Solutions and lead author on the report. “It is important that our nation’s leaders understand these demographic trends and what they will mean for our workforce, traditional care systems, and social insurance programs.”
