National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC) is a national organization committed to developing leadership in communities of color to address the challenges of HIV/AIDS.
Based in Washington, D.C., NMAC contracted with GPS in 2008 to design the advocacy and government relations component of their Women of Color Leadership Institute. As a part of this effort, GPS created an interactive advocacy curriculum with an in-built evaluation mechanism and created a companion guide and PowerPoint for facilitators. NMAC uses the training module developed by GPS to train women in locations across the United States and in the Caribbean.
