Insight Center for Community Economic Development (Insight Center) is a national research, consulting and legal organization dedicated to building economic health and opportunity in vulnerable communities. Based in Oakland, CA, the Insight Center is lead by Roger Clay.

In 2008, the Insight Center contracted with GPS to develop an advocacy strategy that would help to position their Closing the Racial Wealth Gap initiative inside the Washington, DC beltway. As a part of this effort, GPS developed fact sheets and a statement of principles and led the organization of the 2009 Color of Wealth Summit. This summit had over 125 participants including 10 members of Congress who addressed the attendees. GPS has also worked to increase the exposure of the Insight Center’s Experts of Color Network.
